Summer + buildings

In the US of America, in the summer time, the interior of the buildings are so fscking cold, if the weather outside was that cold, they would turn on the heaters in the buildings!

Hail to Belgium!

Connect the dots:

  • Belgium is a country of European Union (EU).
  • EU recognizes DHKP-C as a terrorist organization.
  • A member of this terrorist organization assasinates people in Turkey in 96 and Belgium authorities capture her.
  • Belgium never returns her to Turkey for her trial.
  • Belgium lets this terrorist loose, they say: Awww, we lost her. :
  • Committee R who is responsible of auditing the Intelligence Service and Commitee P for auditing the Belgium police prepares a report showing that the Ex-Minister of Interior of Belgium Antoine Duquesne made a secret deal with the lawyers of the terrorist about releasing her.

War on terror please.

Why Turkey still wants to be a part of EU? What is this non-sense? Stop the negotiations already… Current government of Turkey's agenda and EU's agenda are the same. Fuck Turkey by all means…

We never forgot how we got our independence from colonist forces after the first world war. We will never forget The treaty of Sèvres

What`s up?

What's going on lately…

I recently learned that I had high cholesterol. It must be the fatty food of USA…

started walking from work to home at least 2-3 times a week. It is a
serious but very pleasant walk. About 2 hours long… From Foggy Bottom to Pentagon
City. 1/4 of the walk is in thecity the
rest of it is in a beautiful trail. I have some phone cam pic. I will
share them below.

Changed my diet somewhat completely. Trying to stay away from fatty shitty food, cooking more at home.

started to write a small perl program to create IP ranges of a given
subnet and an exclusions list. Pretty useful if you have a big subnet
and you want to exclude some IPs from nmap or vulnerability scans. Then
I got bored. I dropped it… Don't ask, it doesn't work as of now…

Currently reading The Lord of the Rings again. (3rd time) I don't think I will be able to finish it.

I coded a php snipplet to list latest comments on my blog. I need to find a spot in my blog to place this…

Here are the crappy phone pics from my walk.

The Sounds concert

I went to The Sounds concert tonight at 9:30 club in DC. We were sooo
on time that as soon as we stepped in the concert area, they started
playing. : )

The song lineup was:
24 Hour
Queen of Apology
Dance with me
Night after night
Hit me
Mine for life
Song with a mission
Tony the beat
Seven days a week
Painted by numbers
Living in America
Hope you're happy now
[a mini break]
Rock'n Roll

Overall it was a very very good concert. Although I expected
a bit better performance, I was very satisfied and I really am happy to
see them in DC.

We were at the very end of the crowd since we
came a bit late. But since 9:30 club is not a super big place, I
could easily see the band performing. (And Maja of course hehe)

crowd was a pretty sh!tty in fact… They were either people who has no
clue where they were, or bunch of early teenager girls (I mean age of
14, 15…)

At the end of the concert I had a chance to talk to Maja outside of the club, and even take couple of pictures with her That made my day! She has a great personality and no star attitude at all! She rocks!

If you are around their tour area, please go and spend an hour with them! You won't be disappointed!

Dell Inspiron 6000 and Gentoo Linux.

Here I'm going to document what I have done so far and what more needs to be done…

  • 100GB HDD.
  • ATI M300 Graphic Card. (128 MB)

  • Dell Bluetooth integrated.
  • SD/MMC reader (Ricoh)

Bluetooth works great (this is a usb card btw…) (100%)
Touchpad works great. (100%)

fglrx drivers! I'll put my suspend script online soon. (%100)
Ethernet works great (100%)
DVD support is OK. I can read the DVD but still cannot set the DMA. (it
is a known problem waiting to be fixed in my queue) (50%)

I will make a detailed howto for each one of them later…

  • DVD burning test
  • DVD DMA activation.
  • MMC card reader test
  • ATI offical driver install

UPDATE: I had a Logitech USB camera. I wanted to try out if I
could make it work. I works perfectly with the new pwc drivers. YAY! I
also have some major updates on other stuff on the laptop. I will
compile a document soon!
