It&#8217;s the only way to program my Baofeng UV-R(+) radios&#8230; Period.<\/p>\n<p>Also I love that I can download repeater settings according to a zip code, county, state, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to use Chirp for my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yaesu.com\/indexVS.cfm?cmd=DisplayProducts&amp;ProdCatID=249&amp;encProdID=227201D29C822AEFF8482F3367495319\">Yaesu FTM-400XDR<\/a>. However it looks like Chirp doesn&#8217;t support this model. So my initial reaction was to create the repeater list with Chirp, export on CSV, and import it to Yaesu.<\/p>\n<p>But, that wasn&#8217;t possible either since Yaesu expects the data in a different order and format.<\/p>\n<p>I wrote a <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/emresaglam\/chirp2yaesu\">small python script<\/a> that rearranges and reformats the CSV file to the expected import file for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yaesu.com\/indexVS.cfm?cmd=DisplayProducts&amp;ProdCatID=249&amp;encProdID=227201D29C822AEFF8482F3367495319\">Yaesu&#8217;s own software<\/a>. Check out\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/emresaglam\/chirp2yaesu\/blob\/master\/README.md\">README<\/a> to read how you can install and use the script.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, Yaesu&#8217;s software to program the radio doesn&#8217;t work on Mac OS X natively, since it&#8217;s a Windows software.
